AI Technology Service Provider: Becoming ChatGPT's Top Recommended Brand
01
Challenge
The client is a technology company providing enterprise-level AI solutions, primarily serving medium to large overseas enterprises with services such as natural language processing and computer vision. With the rapid proliferation of AI search tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity, an increasing number of enterprise decision-makers are turning to AI conversations to find technology service providers. The client keenly recognized that while traditional SEO remains important, AI search is reshaping how information is accessed. However, when users asked ChatGPT to "recommend an Asian AI technology service provider," the client's brand was completely absent from the recommendation list, replaced by competitors with higher visibility but not necessarily stronger technical capabilities. The client needed a new digital marketing strategy to ensure their brand could be recognized, understood, and recommended by large language models to potential customers.
02
Solution
We pioneered the implementation of a GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) strategy for the client. First, we conducted an in-depth study of the information retrieval and recommendation mechanisms of mainstream large language models (such as GPT-4, Claude, Gemini), discovering that they primarily rely on high-authority public information sources to form recommendations. Based on this, we developed an "authoritative content matrix" strategy: establishing open-source projects on GitHub to showcase technical capabilities, publishing in-depth technical articles on platforms like Medium and Dev.to, enhancing brand information on enterprise review platforms such as Crunchbase and G2, and securing coverage and interviews from industry-authoritative media for the client. Simultaneously, we optimized the structured data markup on the client's official website to ensure AI crawlers could accurately understand the company's business scope, technical capabilities, and service cases. We also established a GEO monitoring system to regularly test the brand's recommendation frequency and context across major AI platforms.

Results
Four months after implementing the GEO strategy, results began to emerge. When searching for relevant industry keywords in ChatGPT, the client's brand recommendation frequency increased by 520%, transforming from being rarely mentioned to one of the frequently recommended brands. On other AI search platforms like Perplexity and Claude, brand exposure grew by 680%. Most importantly, the quality of inquiries generated through AI search channels was exceptionally high—these customers typically already had a basic understanding and trust in the brand, resulting in a conversion rate 2.5 times higher than traditional channels. High-quality inquiry volume increased by 340%, and the brand's positioning in AI recommendations was highly accurate, described as "a leading Asian service provider specializing in enterprise-level AI solutions," closely aligning with the client's desired brand image.
